Andrea Piras

Biography

Mr. Andrea Piras acts as Director of Product Development and Planning for the Benetton Group. He joined Benetton in 2007 and prior to his current role, served as Global Sourcing Director. Andrea has held a number of positions in the apparel industry across marketing, product development, sourcing, planning and has even held a COO role and has worked at Benetton Sport Systems, FilaSport and Diadora. Recently, Andrea also held the positions of VP, Customs and Trade Committee and President, Supply Chain Committee at the FESI (Federation of the European Sporting Goods Industries) and is currently one of the Directors of the Board at Assosport (Italian Federation of Sport Industry). Andrea holds a PhD in Aeronautical Engineering and an M.B.A. at M.I.P., both from the Politecnico di Milano based in Milan, Italy.
