Tamsin Lejeune

Biography

Tamsin Lejeune is the Founder and Managing Director of the Ethical Fashion Forum (EFF). Tamsin has led the development and growth of the Ethical Fashion Forum, from the first meeting around a table in 2004 to an international network of thousands of industry professionals, focused on sustainable fashion practices. In her role at the Ethical Fashion Forum Tamsin has built working partnerships with leading fashion retailers, key governmental bodies, leading NGO’s and international institutions, from the BBC to the British Fashion Council to the International Trade Centre (ITC), in order to promote and support collaboration towards sustainability in the fashion sector, and launch projects and resources to facilitate this. Prior to founding the Ethical Fashion Forum, Tamsin launched and managed fashion label juste, developing a pioneering fair trade supply chain for designer womenswear in Bangladesh. In 2005 Tamsin was employed by Labour Behind the Label, launching and co-ordinating the first year of the Fashioning an Ethical Industry project, gaining the support of 13 UK fashion colleges to integrate training on sustainability. Tamsin is also a fully qualified architect, graduating with distinction and winning several awards in this field, prior to focusing on the fashion sector.
