George Sanchez
Former Director of Technical Design, PVH Corp, USA

Biography

George Sanchez is a Cuban-born Designer who graduated with a degree in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. He also holds a Certificate in Tailoring and Millinery from F.I.T. George started his career as an Assistant Designer to Betsy Johnson in the 80’s.  He was quickly promoted to designer a year later! After several years at Betsy Johnson, George moved on to designing women’s jeans then menswear.  Wanting to be knowledgeable in all aspects of garment manufacturing, George took on the challenge of learning the technical process alongside the creative phases. This decision has served him well! George has worked in the technical design sector for high profile companies such as Disney, Abercrombie and Fitch, Ralph Lauren and currently as Director of Technical Design for PVH Corp in NYC.

  • Streamlining the complete supply chain and workflow between PVH and its retailers and suppliers
  • Replacing the need for multiple couriered physical samples with 360° cloud-accessible e-samples for approval
  • Reducing the traditional lengthy 6-12 week sampling process with one of 5-6 working days
  • Supporting sustainability, reduced time to market and overall supply chain costs
