Biography

Valerie Arnold is the Director of Business Operations for Patagonia and leads a team that manages System Process Improvements, Project Management, and the Go-To-Market Calendar.  Working in partnership with IT, Valerie connects technology to critical business processes.  Her work drives efficiencies across the organization.  Valerie began her career working in Sales Operations for footwear and apparel brands at Global Brand Marketing, Inc. in Santa Barbara, CA.  This experience gave Valerie a deep understanding of the Footwear and Apparel sell-in business processes and honed her ERP technical knowledge with a SAP implementation.  Valerie then went north to San Francisco to work for Levi Strauss and was the Go-To-Market Calendar Specialist for the Dockers brand.  Managing the Dockers calendar strengthened Valerie’s in depth Apparel Manufacturing knowledge from design concept to on-shelf.  Valerie was able to marry her IT systems and apparel development knowledge sets in deploying projects in Patagonia’s PLM System, implementing a new ERP system, launching FastFit360, and several modules within the GTNexus (TradeCard) application.  On the process side, Valerie has worked with cross-functional partners throughout the organization to revamp Patagonia’s Go-To-Market processes and is always in search of continuous improvement.
